What the client needed to solve
Finding trusted local service providers in Indian cities is still primarily word-of-mouth. NearOne wanted to change that with a structured marketplace, but the challenge was managing two-sided supply and demand: customers needed reliable providers, and providers needed a consistent stream of jobs without paying steep commissions.
What Matply built and why
We built a two-sided marketplace with three surfaces: a customer app for discovering, booking, and tracking service providers; a provider app for accepting jobs, managing schedules, and tracking earnings; and a Laravel web admin for onboarding, dispute resolution, and analytics. Firebase powers real-time job status and provider location tracking. The commission model was built into the payment flow using Razorpay route splits, automatically dividing each payment between the provider and NearOne.
